It is an advantage to obtain a small force feed oil can, but a standard cycle pattern will serve. Points which should re­ceive a few drops of oil periodically are the stand pivots, brake rod trunnions, exposed ends of control cables, and the clutch and brake cable nipples in the handlebar levers.

Also oil the lever pivots, the kickstart footpiece pivot, and the brake cam bearing felts behind the cam levers.
