Tyre Maintenance

Check the tyre pressures regularly, preferably weekly, and inflate as required.

For all normal purposes the minimum pressures should be :-

KSS Solo:	Front 20 per sq. in.	Rear 20 per sq. in.
KTS Solo:	Front 16 per sq. in.	Rear 16 per sq. in.
KSS and Sidecar:	Front 26 per sq. in.	Rear 22 per sq. in.	Sidecar 16 per sq. in.
KTS and Sidecar:	Front 20 per sq. in.	Rear 18 per sq. in.	Sidecar 16 per sq. in.

In cases of "Exceptional" loading, i.e., carrying a pillion passenger, refer to the chart on previous page.

Occasionally examine the tyres for cuts, and in order to locate and remove any flints or small nails which may be partly embedded in the treads. It is easier to remove these if the tyres are partly deflated.

NEVER RUN TYRES UNDER INFLATED, and remember that it is the air that carries the load. Under inflated tyres wear out and generally deteriorate rapidly and tend to cause lack of performance, poor fuel consumption, and unsatisfactory steering.
