As new motor cycles are not usually delivered to the Agents' premises by road it is necessary to make certain before even starting the engine, that the fuel and oil tanks are filled and that there is the correct amount of oil in the gearbox.
Also as accumulators are in some cases sent out dry it may be necessary to fill the cells with electrolite and to have the battery charged before use.
Even if the machine has been purchased as a used one it is still highly desirable to check these points over before taking it out upon the road.
Make sure that the positions and functions of the various controls are thoroughly understood.
