Press down firmly on the top of the tank to compress the rubber buffers underneath it and prise the tank strap off the ear at the rear end of the frame top tube. Lift off the strap after disconnecting it from the lugs at the front.

When refitting fit the strap to the front lugs first, depress the tank and hook the slot in the strap over the ear.
