F62-1R Service Manual

It should not be necessary to take out the swinging fork, and the engine and gearbox have to be removed first to do so. Access to the universal joint can be then obtained without taking the fork out, See page 47.

Should the final drive bevel casing assembly or propeller shaft have to be dismantled they can be removed with the fork in place. See page 53.

To remove the fork after removal of the engine and gearbox unit, take out the bolts (two at each side) that hold the flanges of the fork pivots and the rear fixing brackets to the lugs on the frame. The pivot flanges fit between the frame and the brackets and their shoulders locate in the latter.
